Troubleshooting for Put a Contact Form on Your Website
Causes
The code is printed on the page, or nothing appears. The code went into an ordinary text block, which strips or displays it. Delete it and paste it into an HTML or code block instead: Custom HTML in WordPress, Code in Squarespace, Embed HTML in Wix.
The page shows "Contact us by phone or email." (or your own text) instead of the form. The form could not load. Some site builders block forms in their preview, so check the published page in a normal browser tab. If it still shows, copy the code again from Settings > Website Integration and replace what is on the page, in one go.
The form looks different from the preview. Your website's own styles are reaching the form, usually its fonts or input boxes. Adjust the form's settings until the published page looks right.
Your own questions are not showing. Either your website has an older version of the form's code, and Website Integration shows an amber notice saying so, or the account is on the Free plan. See Ask your own questions on your website form.
Enquiries appear in Trades Panel but no email arrives. Check the company email on Settings > Company Profile is an address you read, and check its spam folder.
A visitor sees "Too many submissions... Please try again later." One computer, or one form, has sent several messages in a short time. This often happens while testing. Wait and try again.
A visitor sees "Phone number is required". Require phone number is ticked under Form Behavior and the phone box was left empty.
A visitor sees "Security verification failed". hCaptcha is turned on and the check did not pass, or the keys are wrong. See hCaptcha spam protection.
Still stuck?
